If you have a child around two years old, probably you have lived a situation in which you are in a hurry and your little one wants to do everything by her own: eat, get dressed, brush her hair… and refuses to let you help her.

This is a good thing because she is building her own autonomy, although it can be frustrating for the parents.

The best thing to do in these situations is to accept that, with a toddler, everything takes longer.

For not feeling the hurry-up pressure, you can start a little bit earlier and let your child do the parts she can do and help her with what she can’t.

What she really wants is the pride of being able to do it, so look for ways to let her experience it.
